These terms cover use of the jkdumpsterrentaljohnsoncity.com website and the general basis on which JK Dumpster Rental provides roll-off dumpster rental service to you. Specific rental terms are confirmed with you when you book.

How we work

JK Dumpster Rental is based in Johnson City on 2303 S Greenwood Dr. We handle every job directly with our own equipment and our own crew — our truck, our team, our yard. When you call (423) 740-6063, you are booking with JK Dumpster Rental, and JK Dumpster Rental stands behind the delivery, not a subcontractor or an outside referral.

Using this website

Content on this site is provided for general information about our services. We work to keep it accurate and current, but sizes, weight allowances, availability and scheduling can change, and nothing on this site is a binding quotation. A quote is only firm once we give it to you directly for your specific job.

Quotes and booking

Quotes are given by telephone based on the information you provide about the material, location and duration. Pricing depends on dumpster size, debris type, and rental period; we run flat-rate options, with a quote confirmed as a flat rate before any container is scheduled, covering delivery, the agreed rental period, collection and disposal. Materially different information — a different debris type, an inaccessible placement, a container that cannot be collected — may change the price.

Delivery, placement and access

You are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is accessible, legal and suitable, and for clearing vehicles, debris and obstructions before the delivery window. In most cases, a container placed entirely on private property needs no permit. Placement on a public street or right-of-way may require a permit issued by the City of Johnson City if the property sits within city limits, or Washington County if it sits in the unincorporated county — that permit is typically obtained by the carting company or general contractor on the job, not filed directly by the property owner. You are responsible for confirming and obtaining, or arranging your contractor to obtain, any permit required for your placement; ask us and we'll walk you through it. If your project also involves digging, you are responsible for contacting Tennessee 811 (811, or (800) 351-1111, tenn811.com) at least three business days before work begins — Tennessee 811 is the state's legally required call-before-you-dig program and is not satisfied by contacting a utility company directly.

We use reasonable care when placing containers. Roll-off delivery and collection nevertheless places significant point loads on any surface. We are not liable for damage to driveways, curbing, lawns, irrigation systems, buried utilities or overhead lines where placement was at your direction, where the surface or subgrade was already compromised, or where hidden features were not disclosed. If you have any concern about a surface, tell us before delivery and we will discuss alternatives.

Loading and prohibited materials

Containers must be loaded level with the top rail. Overloaded or heaped containers cannot be transported legally and may be refused, incurring a return charge. You must not place in any container: liquids of any kind, wet paint, solvents, fuels, oils, pesticides or agricultural chemicals, whole tires, lead-acid batteries, propane or other pressurized cylinders, appliances containing refrigerant, medical or biohazardous waste, hot ashes, radioactive material, or asbestos-containing material — whole tires, lead-acid batteries and used oil are also banned outright from Tennessee landfill disposal by state statute (Tenn. Code Ann. Sec. 68-211-866(a)), and appliances containing refrigerant must have that refrigerant properly recovered under federal law (Clean Air Act Section 608) before disposal. Yard waste must be kept separate from general debris and is not accepted mixed in. Prohibited items may result in rejection of the load, contamination charges and any costs incurred in lawful disposal, which are passed on to you.

Rental period, extensions and collection

The rental period is confirmed with you at the time of booking. Extensions are available on request, with terms advised at the time. If a container cannot be collected on the scheduled date because of access, overloading or prohibited contents, a return-visit charge may apply.

Risk and responsibility

The container remains our property throughout the rental. From delivery until collection you are responsible for the container and its contents, for keeping the area safe, and for ensuring nobody climbs on or into it. Do not move, alter or relocate a container yourself.

Limitation of liability

JK Dumpster Rental is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including access issues at your property, municipal restrictions, or damage resulting from placement instructions you provide us. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid to us for the job in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or project delay. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This site and our published information describe our own services only; we make no guarantee that every detail on this site is complete, current or error-free, and you should confirm anything specific to your job by phone before relying on it.

All content on this site, including text, layout, graphics and logos, is the property of JK Dumpster Rental or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tennessee, including the courts of Washington County where applicable.
